Web 2.0 Applications

1.0 | Glogstering

Gloster is interesting, in the general sense of the word. It is easy to apply content to the viewing page and it would help get students interested in the subject. The downside, it does cost to use!

2.0 | Delicious

This is really easy to use and fun! I like to bookmark all of my research findings and having them in a nice organized system makes everything simplified, especially when I'm trying to find something really quick. I am impressed with the ease of use, add, and tagging system so that if for any moment I forget where I went, I can quickly access the bookmark plus be in tuned with the web page updates!

3.0 | Google Docs

The one thing I like about this app is its ability to mobility. I like the fact that when I'm composing a project for my students, I can work on it from anywhere, develop the basic wording and images, and when I'm ready, bring it into my other programs for final publication. It just works!

4.0 | Pinterest

I have used this site several times already, especially to give students an idea or inspiration before developing their next project. Often times, students get lost in design mode, where they encounter designer's block. Pinterest brings all types of topics, ideas, object to one source,  making the design process a little bit easier.

5.0 | Wiki

This is cool. Used it and I can see how this could be useful in group settings. However, this doesn't seem any different from Google Docs except that Google Docs has more features and you can do more with it. I'm not sure if I would use this.

6.0 | Digital App

Toondoo is a cool little site that allows its users to create a cartoon about anything.  I was able to create this quick comic short about a guy trying to get to they pyramids. The only thing I would say about this service is that it isn't easy to get the comic embedded into the site. I had to capture the image from my computer and save as an image.

7.0 | Scribble Maps: web 2.0

This is a cool little site. It's purpose can be useful when showing  students where important places are in architecture history. For example, showing where the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame was easy because all I had to do was map it and draw it, voila!
